When Daniel and his wife Megan moved to Fort Scott in 2020, he had one goal: not work at a church for once in his life. But, as it turns out, God had other plans—and so did Community. At the exact moment our team was shifting roles and left without a worship minister, Daniel (and his guitar) showed up. The timing was too perfect to ignore, and he’s been leading worship here ever since.
Daniel holds a degree in Worship Ministry from Ozark Christian College, and it shows. Whether he’s on stage with a guitar, behind a piano, or picking up whatever random instrument is nearby, he brings creativity, humility, and a deep heart for worship to every Sunday. He’s the kind of guy who can make a full band out of thin air—and probably already has.
Daniel and Megan have four amazing kids—Ellie, Jack, Noa, and their newest addition, Indy Mae. Their family is full of personality, music, laughter, and the occasional Nerf war. They love doing life together and being part of a church that feels like home.
Outside of church life, Daniel has a bit of a wild streak. He spends his free time exploring a forest he discovered at the back of an old wardrobe (long story). Legend has it he’s faced off with a few bears there. He’s only lost once... and he doesn’t like to talk about it.
Books, Movies, or Podcasts:
Daniel’s a lover of stories, especially ones that blend imagination with meaning. He’s the guy who appreciates good music, solid storytelling, and the occasional epic fantasy battle.
Favorite Ministry Memory:
“Some of my favorite moments happen when no one’s really watching—just raw, honest worship during practice or prayer with the team before service. Those behind-the-scenes moments are powerful.”
