Jennifer Cox

Ministry Coordinator

jennifer.cox@cccfortscott.com

Jennifer was born and raised in Branson, Missouri, and at age 13 moved to El Dorado Springs, where she lived through high school. After attending Missouri Southern, she met her husband, Harold, in 2000. A year and a half later, they were married and made Fort Scott their home.

While she might not describe it this way herself, Jennifer has lived a life of ministry since becoming a teacher at Christian Learning Center in 2003. It was in the middle of her decade-long career there that she, Harold, and their kids began attending Community in 2009. “We were looking for a church our whole family could call home,” she recalls. “We loved the warm welcome we received and the kids’ programming offered here.”

In 2023, Jennifer felt prompted to apply for an open office position at Community—and ended up stepping into the deep end right away, as Delynn went on maternity leave the same month Jennifer was hired. She handled it all with grace, and in 2024 was promoted to her current role as Ministry Coordinator.

Jennifer and Harold have two children, Jessee and Wes, and together they’re deeply woven into the life of the church.

Books, Movies, or Podcasts:
Free time is rare (we keep her very busy around here!), but when she gets a moment, Jennifer enjoys historical fiction audiobooks—especially while cooking or crafting.

Favorite Ministry Memory:
“I can’t think of one specific moment, but I absolutely LOVE being in the lobby on Sunday mornings, greeting our church members… definitely the favorite part of my ‘job.’”
