Jesus is central to everything we do. We sing, pray, and preach in His powerful Name. Our past, present, and future is centered on Jesus Christ. Our purpose on this earth is to make much of Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:16-17 says (when speaking of Jesus), “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” We commit that our church is dedicated to loving this all-powerful, all-loving God with everything we have, and we invite you to join us in this desire.
Jesus taught us how to love. In Matthew 22, when asked what the greatest commandment was, Jesus responded: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'" Jesus continued, "On these two commandments depend the whole law and the prophets." In other words, these two actions are at the very core of what it means to be a Christian. A Christian loves God. A Christian loves other people. Our aim is to accomplish those two things by continually devoting ourselves to living out the teachings of Jesus. We are here because of Him, for Him, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit we can live out His will for our lives and achieve his mission on the earth. We like to shorten all that down around here and just say: "We are here to help you love God and love people."
We are a community of people who are in process. We have imperfect messy lives, but we are pursuing and experiencing a transforming relationship with Jesus and with each other. Everybody is welcome here whatever your story, your questions, doubts or struggles. We’re all about doing life together in community, being intentional about our growth as people and serving one another and our broader community along the way.
We want to invite you to one of our Sunday Gatherings to experience our community of Jesus-followers authentically engaging with the God we love!
